See an Artist - Be an Artist

See an Artist - Be an Artist

As well as exploring Tower Bridge and its history, visitors to the exhibition will enjoy a special opportunity to explore the famous view.

Draw What You See workshops will invite children of all ages to capture and exhibit their on-the-spot impressions of the stunning panorama from the Walkways, which includes such iconic subjects as the Tower of London, the Monument and St Paul’s.

Each picture created in the workshops will be scanned and uploaded immediately onto www.towerbridgefacts.co.uk for the whole world to see.

The workshops will be conducted by ‘Artists in Residence’ Carlos Calvert-Ortin and Nicola Taylor, and produced for Tower Bridge Experience by the Southwark-based Guy Fox Limited.

Carlos Calvert-Ortin will be in residence between 11am and 3pm from Wednesdays to Sundays, to conduct the drop-in workshops and allow visitors to watch him create his own, highly-stylised black and white landscapes inspired by the view.

Free SEE an Artist - BE an Artist scratch postcards, available at Tower Bridge Exhibition ticket office and other outlets in the City, guarantee a prize for every Tower Bridge Exhibition ticket purchased on or before 30th August. Prizes range from artist’s stickers to two-for-one Exhibition tickets or the chance to ‘Take Control’ and raise Tower Bridge!
